Spicy Malaysian Chili Sambal

Ingredients

  • green bird's eye chili
  • red bird's eye chili
  • large chili
  • red onion
  • garlic
  • sugar
  • salt
  • coarsely pounded anchovies

Preparation

  1. Coarsely grind the ingredients marked with an asterisk.

  2. Heat oil and sauté the ground ingredients.

  3. Add a little oil, then add sugar, salt, and coarsely pounded anchovies.

  4. Continue sautéing until the sambal color turns dark.

  5. Cook for about 5 minutes until done.

  1. This recipe does not use water.
