Spicy Tomato Sambal with Fried Fish
Ingredients
For the fish
- tamarind juice
- a little salt
- seasoning or mushroom stock to taste
For the sambal
- bird's eye chilies as needed
- curly chilies as needed
- a little red onion
- 1 clove garlic
- tomato
- a little shrimp paste
- sugar
- salt
- seasoning
- lime juice
Preparation
Marinate the fish with tamarind juice, salt, and seasoning to taste.
Fry the marinated fish until dry and crispy.
Fry the tomato until soft.
Pound the fried tomato with chilies, red onion, and garlic into a paste.
Mix in shrimp paste, sugar, salt, and seasoning.
Squeeze lime juice into the sambal and stir well.
Serve the sambal with the fried fish.
