Spicy Indonesian Shrimp Satay
Ingredients
- 300 grams medium shrimp
- Satay skewers
Marinade
- 6 shallots
- 2 cloves garlic
- 12 bird's eye chilies
- 10 curly chilies
- 2 tablespoons chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Salt, to taste
- Sugar, to taste
- Seasoning, to taste
Preparation
Grind the shallots, garlic, bird's eye chilies, and curly chilies into a paste.
Mix the spice paste with chili sauce, tomato sauce, sweet soy sauce, lime juice, salt, sugar, and seasoning until well combined.
Add the shrimp to the marinade, stir until evenly coated, and let marinate for 1 hour.
Thread the shrimp onto satay skewers.
Grill the shrimp on a non-stick Teflon pan, basting with marinade until cooked. Remove and serve.
