Malaysian Red Cooked Chicken

- Chicken
- Red onion (for grinding)
- Garlic (for grinding)
- Ginger (for grinding)
- Dried chili (for grinding)
- Tamarind (a little)
- Sugar
- Salt
Spice paste
- Ground mixture of red onion, garlic, ginger, and dried chili
Preparation
Mix chicken with the ground spice paste, add a little tamarind, sugar, and salt.
Heat a small amount of cooking oil in a pan.
Add the mixture and cook together until the sauce is dry and the chicken is done, similar to making rendang.
