Spicy Sour Sweet Thai Grilled Squid
Ingredients
- 10-13 large squid
Marinade
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons honey
- a pinch of salt
Sauce
- 8 red bird's eye chilies
- 8 green bird's eye chilies
- 7 cloves garlic (lightly grilled)
- 3 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 5 tablespoons lemon juice
Preparation
Wash the squid and drain it.
Mix the marinade ingredients and rub them onto the squid, then let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Pat the squid dry with a paper towel.
Grill the squid until fully cooked.
For the sauce, lightly grill the garlic, then crush it with the red and green chilies until smooth, and mix in the fish sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, honey, and lemon juice.
Pour the sauce over the grilled squid or use it as a dip.
