Indonesian Honey Grilled Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 400 grams shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon stock powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Skewers, as needed

Preparation

  1. Clean the shrimp, remove the head shell, and rinse.

  2. Boil water until boiling, then boil the shrimp for 2 minutes and drain to remove any fishy smell.

  3. Season the shrimp with all the spices and let it marinate for 30 minutes until the flavors are absorbed.

  4. Thread the shrimp onto skewers.

  5. Grill the shrimp on a skillet, non-stick pan, or over charcoal fire.

  6. Serve with warm rice.
