Spicy Watercress Salad
Ingredients
- Watercress
- Bird's eye chilies, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon shrimp paste
- Salt, to taste
- Sugar, to taste
- 1 tomato
- 1/2 lime
- Fried peanuts
Preparation
Boil the watercress until tender.
Mix all sambal ingredients except the lime and blend until smooth.
Add the lime juice and stir well.
Serve the boiled watercress with the sambal and sprinkle with fried peanuts.
Notes
This is a variation using watercress instead of water spinach and can substitute cashews for the fried peanuts as garnish.
