Tofu and Broccoli Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 1 14-ounce block firm tofu
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Steamed rice

Sauce

  • 3 tablespoons coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Optional

  • Chopped green onion, for serving

Preparation

  1. Pat tofu with paper towel to remove excess water. Then cut into cubes.

  2. Steam broccoli until fork tender.

  3. While broccoli steams, combine sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.

  4. Heat 1 tablespoon sesame oil in a pan over medium heat. Add tofu and garlic powder. Cook until tofu is golden on all sides, about 10 minutes.

  5. Turn the heat down to low, add in broccoli, pour in the sauce, and stir until tofu and broccoli are coated.

  6. Remove from pan and serve over steamed rice. Add chopped green onion and sesame seeds if desired and enjoy.
