Bbq Tofu with Vegetables and Noodles
Ingredients
- 2/3 package extra firm tofu
- 1 tsp oil
- 1.5 cups steamed broccoli florets
- 1 cup edamame
- 1 cup cooked noodles
Sauce
- 2 tbsp gochujang sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp water
- 1.5 tbsp agave or maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
Garnishes
- cilantro
- sauteed mushrooms
- sesame seeds
- scallions
- red chili flakes
Preparation
Cut the tofu into thin pieces.
Add oil to a large pan and place the tofu pieces without overlapping; cook in batches if necessary.
Cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3 minutes.
Meanwhile, whisk together the sauce in a bowl.
When the tofu is cooked, add the sauce and toss to coat.
Serve with steamed broccoli, edamame, cooked noodles, and garnishes.
Tips
The sauce permeates the tofu and becomes caramelized for extra flavor.
Gochujang sauce can be found online or in most grocery stores and adds tanginess.
Pair the tofu with your choice of vegetables and or noodles for a versatile meal.
