Easy Vegan Bbq Tofu with Gochujang Sauce
Ingredients
- 2/3 package extra firm organic tofu, drained and pressed
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1.5 cups steamed broccoli florets cut into small pieces
- 1 cup edamame
- 1 cup cooked noodles
- Cilantro for garnish
- Sauteed mushrooms for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Scallions for garnish
- Red chili flakes for garnish
Sauce
- 2 tablespoons gochujang sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1.5 tablespoons agave or maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
Preparation
Cut tofu into thin pieces.
Add oil to a large pan and place tofu so the pieces are not overlapping; cook in batches if necessary.
Cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes depending on thickness.
Flip and cook another 3 minutes.
Meanwhile, whisk together sauce in a bowl.
When tofu is cooked, add sauce and toss to coat.
Serve with vegetables and noodles.
Tips
Pair the tofu with your choice of vegetables and/or noodles for a great meal.
Gochujang sauce can be found online or in most grocery stores.
