Bbq Tofu with Vegetables and Noodles

Ingredients

  • 2/3 package extra firm tofu
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1.5 cups steamed broccoli florets
  • 1 cup edamame
  • 1 cup cooked noodles

Sauce

  • 2 tbsp gochujang sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp water
  • 1.5 tbsp agave or maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce

Garnishes

  • Cilantro
  • Mushrooms
  • Sesame seeds
  • Scallions
  • Red chili flakes

Preparation

  1. Drain and press the tofu to remove excess water.

  2. Cut tofu into thin pieces.

  3. Add oil to a large pan and place tofu pieces without overlapping; cook in batches if necessary.

  4. Cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes, then flip and cook another 3 minutes.

  5. Meanwhile, whisk together the sauce ingredients in a bowl.

  6. Add the sauce to the cooked tofu and toss to coat.

  7. Serve with steamed broccoli, edamame, cooked noodles, and optional garnishes.

Tips

  1. Pair the tofu with your choice of vegetables and/or noodles for a great meal.

  2. Gochujang sauce can be found online or in most grocery stores and adds tanginess and flavor.
