Homemade Vegetable Dumplings with Sweet Chilli Sauce

Ingredients

  • 300 grams of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of corn flour
  • 2 teaspoons of salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups of grated carrots
  • 1 medium bag of spinach cut
  • 1/2 cup of spring onion
  • 1/2 a cabbage diced
  • 1 cup of mushrooms diced

Sweet chilli sauce

  • 1.5 teaspoons of sweet chilli sauce
  • 3 teaspoons of maple syrup
  • 3 teaspoons of tamari sauce
  • 3 teaspoon of balsamic

Preparation

  1. Place the flours, 2 teaspoons of salt, water in a bowl and combine. If the mixture appears too dry add more water and if it’s too soft add more flour.

  2. Place dough on a floured bench and divide the dough into 4 pieces.

  3. Roll out each section thinly and cut with a round object (I used a glass). Each section should make around 6 pieces.

  4. If you’re not using them straight away, cut some parchment paper into square and line each wonton.

  5. In a fry pan place all your vegetables and sauté with 1 teaspoon of salt, a tablespoon of oil. Let it cool and then assemble the dumplings.

  6. Boil dumpling for 5 minutes or pan fry.

Sauce assembly

  1. Mix all the sweet chilli sauce ingredients together to create the sauce.
