Avocado Garlicky Mushroom Toast
Ingredients
Mushrooms
- About 250-300g chestnut mushrooms
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- A generous splash of tamari sauce
- 2 tablespoons of thyme leaves
- A sprinkle of black pepper
Avocado
- 1 ripe avocado
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- A pinch of sea salt or pink Himalayan salt
Bread
- 2 slices of bread of your choice
Preparation
Wash and slice the mushrooms.
Heat up the olive oil in a frying pan.
Add the crushed garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring to prevent burning.
Add the sliced mushrooms and tamari sauce, and cook for 8-10 minutes until the water evaporates.
Add the fresh thyme and black pepper.
Mash the avocado with a fork and add lemon juice and salt.
Toast the bread, spread a thick layer of avocado on top, and add the mushrooms.
