Baked Cauliflower Wings with Sauce

Ingredients

Batter

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • white pepper to taste

Sauce

  • 2.5 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tsp vegan Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1-2 tbsp water
  • hot sauce to taste (optional)

Preparation

  1. Mix all batter ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

  2. Preheat oven to 495°F.

  3. Cut a small head of cauliflower into florets and coat them well with the batter.

  4. Lay the coated florets on a non-stick baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.

  5. Remove from oven, brush some oil on the cauliflower, flip them, and bake for another 5 minutes.

  6. Mix all sauce ingredients and set aside.

  7. In a heated pan with 1 teaspoon avocado oil, pour the sauce in slowly.

  8. Add the baked cauliflower florets to the pan and coat them until well combined with the sauce.

  9. Serve immediately.

Tips

  1. Add hot sauce to the sauce mixture for a spicy kick if desired.
