Vegan Baked Cauliflower Wings

Ingredients

Batter

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons rice flour
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • white pepper to taste

Sauce

  • 2.5 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vegan Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1-2 tablespoons water
  • hot sauce to taste

Preparation

  1. Mix the batter ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

  2. Preheat the oven to 495°F.

  3. Cut a small head of cauliflower into florets and coat them well with the batter.

  4. Lay the coated florets on a non-stick baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.

  5. Remove from oven, brush some oil on the cauliflower, flip them, and bake for another 5 minutes.

  6. Mix the sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

  7. In a heated pan with 1 teaspoon avocado oil, slowly pour in the sauce.

  8. Add the baked cauliflower florets to the pan and coat them with the sauce until well combined.

  9. Serve immediately.
