Baked Cauliflower Wings with Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 small head cauliflower
- 1 teaspoon avocado oil
Batter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons rice flour
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- white pepper to taste
Sauce
- 2.5 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon vegan Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1-2 tablespoons water
- hot sauce to taste (optional)
Preparation
Mix all batter ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
Preheat oven to 495°F.
Cut a small head of cauliflower into florets and coat them well with the batter mixture.
Lay them on a non-stick baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven, brush some oil on the cauliflower, flip, and bake for another 5 minutes to give a roasted look.
Mix all sauce ingredients and set aside.
In a heated pan with 1 teaspoon avocado oil, pour the sauce in slowly as it may splash, add the cauliflower florets, and coat them until well combined.
Serve immediately.
