Baked Cauliflower Wings with Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 small head cauliflower
Batter
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons rice flour
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- white pepper to taste
Sauce
- 2.5 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon tamari or soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon vegan Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1-2 tablespoons water
- hot sauce to taste (optional)
Preparation
Mix the crusty ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
Preheat oven to 495°F.
Cut a small head of cauliflower into florets and coat them well with the batter mixture.
Lay the coated florets on a non-stick baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven, brush with oil, flip the florets, and bake for another 5 minutes.
Mix the saucy ingredients and set aside.
In a heated pan with 1 teaspoon avocado oil, pour the sauce in slowly to avoid splashing.
Add the baked cauliflower florets to the pan and coat them well with the sauce.
Serve immediately.
