Vegan Baked Cauliflower Wings with Sauce

Ingredients

Batter

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • white pepper to taste

Sauce

  • 2.5 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
  • 1 tsp vegan Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1-2 tbsp water
  • hot sauce to taste

Preparation

  1. Mix the batter ingredients in a bowl and set aside.

  2. Preheat the oven to 495°F.

  3. Cut a small head of cauliflower into florets.

  4. Coat the florets well with the batter mixture.

  5. Lay them on a non-stick baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 10 minutes.

  7. Remove from the oven, brush with oil, flip, and bake for another 5 minutes to achieve a roasted look.

  8. Mix the sauce ingredients and set aside.

  9. Heat a pan with 1 teaspoon avocado oil.

  10. Pour the sauce slowly into the pan to avoid splashing.

  11. Add the baked cauliflower florets and coat them until well combined.

  12. Serve immediately.
