Fried Cauliflower Popcorn with Spices

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cauliflower small florets
  • 1/2 teaspoon refined flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried mango powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup panko crumbs
  • Oil for frying

Batter

  • 1/4 cup cornflour
  • 1/2 cup gram flour

Garnishes

  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala

Preparation

  1. Cut the cauliflower into small popcorn-sized florets.

  2. Mix the cauliflower with red chili powder, garam masala, dried mango powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.

  3. Mix cornflour and gram flour with water to make a thick batter.

  4. Heat oil in a pan for frying.

  5. Dip the seasoned cauliflower florets into the batter, roll them in panko crumbs, and fry until done.

  6. Serve with chutney, guacamole, or any preferred sauce. Sprinkle with chopped coriander leaves and chaat masala before serving
