Stuffed Pizza Roll Ring

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 tablespoons corn oil
  • 3/4 cup milk

Filling

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup black olive slices
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 1 cup sliced hot dog

Topping

  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese

Preparation

  1. In the mixer bowl, place 1.5 cups of flour, the yeast, sugar, and salt, attach the dough hook and run for a few seconds to mix the ingredients. Add the egg, oil, and milk, run on medium speed until the dough forms, then add the remaining flour gradually until the dough is cohesive and elastic. Knead for 5 minutes.

  2. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, brush the surface with a little oil, cover with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.

  3. Prepare a shallow baking sheet.

  4. On a floured surface, roll out the dough with a rolling pin into a rectangle about 1/4 cm thick.

  5. Using a wide plastic spoon, spread the pizza sauce, cheese, olives, peppers, onion, and hot dog.

  6. Roll the dough over the filling into a tight log, sealing the edge well.

  7. Place the roll on the baking sheet and join the ends together to form a ring shape.

  8. Using a wide brush, brush the dough with egg yolk and sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.

  9. Preheat the oven to 200°C.

  10. Place the pizza in the oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown and serve immediately.
