Homemade Pizza Rolls

Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons dry milk
  • 1/4 cup corn oil
  • 1 cup warm water

Filling

  • 4/3 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped mushrooms
  • 1 cup chopped black olives

Preparation

  1. In the mixer bowl, place 2 cups of flour, the yeast, baking powder, and salt, attach the dough hook and mix to combine the ingredients

  2. Add the oil and water and knead for 5 minutes until a smooth and elastic dough forms, add the remaining flour if the dough is too soft

  3. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, brush the surface with a little oil, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes until doubled in size

  4. Grease a 13x9 inch baking dish

  5. On a floured surface, place the dough and roll it out into a rectangle about 1 centimeter thick

  6. Spread the pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a 1 centimeter border around the edges

  7. Sprinkle the cheese, mushrooms, and black olives over the sauce

  8. Roll the dough into a log and seal the edge well

  9. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in the prepared baking dish, cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 20 minutes until doubled in size

  10. Preheat the oven to 200°C with the rack in the middle

  11. Bake the rolls for 20 minutes until golden brown

  12. Remove from the oven, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let rest for 10 minutes before serving hot
