Homemade Pizza with Sausages

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons yeast

  • Pizza sauce
  • Cheese
  • Sausages
  • Olives

Preparation

  1. In a small pot, combine milk, water, vegetable shortening, and olive oil, and heat over medium heat until warm.

  2. In a mixer bowl, add sugar, salt, baking powder, flour, and yeast. Attach the dough hook and mix for a few seconds to combine the ingredients. Add the milk mixture and mix on medium speed until dough forms, then knead on low speed for 4 minutes.

  3. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.

  4. Prepare a medium-sized pizza pan.

  5. Roll out the dough into a circle to fit the pan, place it in the pan, and brush with a little olive oil.

  6. Spread pizza sauce over the dough, sprinkle a little cheese, add sausages and olives, then add a generous amount of cheese. Let it rest for 20 minutes.

  7. Bake the pizza in a 200°C oven until golden brown.
