Homemade Pizza with Yeast Dough

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast (10g)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5.5 cups flour

Toppings

  • Sucuk
  • Tomatoes
  • Red bell peppers
  • Olives
  • Cheese

Sauce

  • Tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Optional garlic
  • Optional thyme

Preparation

  1. Pour 2 cups of warm water into a mixing bowl

  2. Add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and 1 packet of instant yeast (10g), mix and cover to activate the yeast

  3. Add 1/2 cup of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of salt

  4. Gradually add 5.5 cups of flour to make a soft dough that slightly sticks to hands

  5. Cover the dough and let it rise

  6. For the sauce, add 2 tablespoons of ketchup and 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil to tomato sauce, mix well, and optionally add garlic and thyme

  7. Divide the dough in half if making thin crust for two trays, or use whole for thick crust in one tray

  8. Roll out the dough to fit the tray size

  9. Spread the prepared sauce on the dough

  10. Sprinkle a little cheese

  11. Add the toppings: sucuk, tomatoes, red bell peppers, and olives

  12. Bake in the oven until the toppings are cooked

  13. Add more cheese and bake again until the cheese melts

  14. Remove from oven and serve hot

Tips

  1. Bake at 200 degrees Celsius, use fan setting if baking multiple trays

  2. For single tray, use top and bottom heat setting

  3. Adjust dough thickness based on preference
