Mama's Easy Homemade Pizza

Ingredients

Dough

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons dry milk
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 2 tablespoons corn oil
  • 1 cup warm water

Toppings

  • 1/4 cup prepared pizza sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 medium green peppers, chopped
  • 1/4 cup black olives, sliced

Preparation

  1. Place in a mixer bowl the flour, salt, yeast, baking powder, milk, and oregano. Attach the dough hook and mix for a few seconds to combine the ingredients.

  2. Add the oil and water, and knead for 4 minutes until the dough is smooth. Then place it in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for an hour to double in size.

  3. Get a round pan of 11 inches, roll out the dough, place it in the pan, and let it rest for 10 minutes.

  4. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Get a shallow pan of 10 inches, grease with a little oil, roll out the dough, place it in the pan, cover with plastic, and let it rest for 15 minutes.

  5. Spread the pizza sauce, cheese, tomatoes, peppers, and olives over the dough.

  6. Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown, and serve warm.
