Baked Pizza Rolls with Cheese Filling

Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons powdered milk
  • 1/4 cup corn oil
  • 1 cup warm water

Filling

  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped mushrooms
  • 1 cup chopped black olives

Preparation

  1. In the mixer bowl, place 2.5 cups of flour, the yeast, baking powder, and salt, attach the dough hook and mix until combined

  2. Add the oil and warm water and knead for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic, add the remaining flour if the dough is too soft

  3. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, brush the surface with oil, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes until doubled in size

  4. Prepare a 13x9 inch baking dish by oiling it

  5. On a floured surface, place the dough and roll it out into a rectangle about 1 centimeter thick using a rolling pin

  6. Spread the sauce over the dough, leaving a 1 centimeter border around the edges, then add the cheese, mushrooms, and olives

  7. Roll the dough into a log shape and seal the edge well

  8. Using a sharp knife or thread, cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in the baking dish

  9. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 20 minutes until doubled in size again

  10. Position the oven rack in the middle and preheat the oven to 200°C

  11. Bake the rolls for 20 minutes until golden brown

  12. Remove from the oven, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let rest for 10 minutes before serving hot
