Healthy Turkish Oat Pide
Ingredients
Dough
- 6 tablespoons ground oat flakes
- 2 tablespoons yogurt
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon water
- a bit of salt
Filling
- 1 small tomato
- 1 small pepper
- a bit of black pepper
- a bit of salt
- a bit of red pepper flakes
- a bit of basil
Topping
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 finger-length of kasar cheese
- optional parsley
Preparation
Mix all dough ingredients together to form a dough and let it rest for about 10-15 minutes
Prepare the filling by chopping the tomato and pepper, then mix with salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and basil
Roll out the dough into a flat, oval shape typical for pide
Spread the filling evenly over the dough
Brush the edges with egg yolk and sprinkle kasar cheese on top
Bake in a preheated oven at around 200°C until golden and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes
Garnish with parsley if desired and serve warm
