Easy Vegan Portobello Mushroom Burgers

Ingredients

  • 2 portobello mushroom caps
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp coconut aminos
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)

Preparation

  1. In a small bowl, combine all of the above ingredients besides the mushrooms and mix everything together.

  2. Put the mushrooms in a shallow bowl or a ziplock bag.

  3. Add the mixture and make sure the whole mushroom is coated.

  4. Marinate for 30 minutes.

  5. Add olive oil to a grill skillet or regular skillet and cook 5 minutes on each side over medium heat.

Notes

  1. Serve with baked sweet potato and regular potato fries coated with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  2. Best eaten fresh and not saved.
