Whoppa Mutton Burgers with Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2kg mutton mince
  • 2 diced onions
  • 1/2 bunch of coriander chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp dried fenugreek
  • 1.5 tbsp chilli flakes
  • 1.5 tbsp salt

Burger sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • finely diced gherkins
  • 1 tsp chilli pickle/sauce

Toppings

  • cheese slices
  • brioche buns
  • baby gem lettuce leaves
  • sliced red onion
  • sliced tomatoes

Preparation

  1. Mix all burger patty ingredients together in a large bowl until well combined.

  2. Shape the mixture into patties of your desired size and thickness.

  3. Cook the patties on a preheated grill or in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through.

  4. In a small bowl, combine all burger sauce ingredients and stir until smooth.

  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on a brioche bun and adding cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, and sauce.
