Crunchy Barrel-Style Pickled Cucumbers

Ingredients

  • Fresh dill
  • Horseradish leaves
  • Garlic cloves
  • Cucumbers

Brine

  • 2 heaped tablespoons salt per 1 liter water

Preparation

  1. Prepare brine by dissolving 2 heaped tablespoons salt in 1 liter water, then place cucumbers, dill, garlic, and horseradish leaves in a container and cover with the brine. Let stand for three days at room temperature.

  2. Strain the brine and boil it for 3-4 minutes.

  3. Pack the cucumbers along with the dill, garlic, and horseradish into clean jars.

  4. Pour the hot brine over the cucumbers and seal the jars.
