Curry Wurst with Caramelised Onion Rice

Ingredients

  • 3 vivavivera bangers
  • 57g basmati rice
  • stock
  • 1/2 brown onion
  • peashoot salad

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons Heinz no added sugar tomato sauce
  • water
  • Henderson's relish
  • hot curry powder
  • garlic powder
  • onion salt
  • sweet smoked paprika

Preparation

  1. Rest the bangers between 2 skewers and cut most of the way through to prevent cutting all the way.

  2. Fan them out and pin the ends with cocktail sticks, then bake in the oven at 200°C for about 14 minutes.

  3. Cook the basmati rice in stock for flavor.

  4. Slice the onion and slowly fry until chewy and sweet.

  5. Mix the sauce ingredients together.

  6. Prepare the peashoot salad.

Tips

  1. You can use tomato puree or reduce whole tomatoes for the sauce if desired.
