Vegetarian Sausages with Mash and Caramelised Onion Gravy
Ingredients
- 3 Cauldron Foods Lincolnshire sausages
- 1 large brown onion
- Bisto best onion gravy granules
- Water
- Marabel potatoes
- Chives
- Onion salt
- Broccoli
Preparation
Oven cook the sausages according to package instructions.
Thinly slice the onion and cook it low and slow for around 30 minutes until soft, golden, and sweet.
Prepare the Bisto onion gravy with water and mix in the caramelised onion.
Peel and cube the potatoes, boil until tender, then mash and add a little potato water back in along with chives and onion salt.
Cook the broccoli until tender by steaming or boiling.
Serve the sausages with the mash, gravy, and broccoli.
Tips
Marabel potatoes are ideal for mash as they are naturally buttery, so no need for butter, cream, or anything else.
