Turkish Eggplant and Meat Kebab
Ingredients
- 300 grams ground meat
- 4-5 eggplants
- 3-4 potatoes
- 2 bell peppers
- 3 green peppers
- 1 onion
- 2 grated tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- Oil
- Salt
- Red pepper flakes
- Black pepper
- Paprika
For the sauced water
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- Hot water
- Salt
Preparation
Prepare the eggplants by oiling both sides and cooking until browned, turning occasionally
Cook the ground meat with chopped onion, garlic, and spices until browned
Fry or bake the potatoes and peppers until partially cooked
Assemble the dish by layering the cooked eggplants, meat mixture, and vegetables in a baking dish
Prepare the sauced water by mixing tomato paste, hot water, and salt, then pour over the assembled dish
Bake in the oven until everything is tender and flavors are combined
Tips
Oil both sides of the eggplants and cook by turning them over to ensure even browning
