Turkish Moon-Shaped Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 egg yolks
- 250g butter or margarine
- 2 packets vanilla
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 tea glass powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 450g flour
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Preparation
Mix all ingredients except flour by hand, then gradually add flour and mix to form a dough; do not over-knead once it comes together.
Take large pieces of dough and roll out to 5mm thickness on a work surface.
Cut out moon shapes using a tea glass.
Bake in a preheated oven at 150-170°C for about 25 minutes until lightly browned, then remove from oven.
Let cool, then remove from baking sheet, dust with powdered sugar, and serve.
