Easy Crispy Fried Chicken Milanese Fillets
Ingredients
- chicken breast fillets, cut into cutlets
- minced garlic
- lemon zest
- lemon juice
- lemon pepper
- chimichurri sauce
- salt
Breading
- breadcrumbs
- all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon grated parmesan cheese (optional)
Preparation
Season chicken fillets with minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, lemon pepper, chimichurri sauce, and salt. Let rest until ready to fry
In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs and all-purpose flour in a 1:1 ratio. Mix in grated parmesan if using
Place a portion of the breadcrumb mixture on a plate
In another plate, beat the egg
Dip each chicken fillet in the beaten egg, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere
Place the coated fillets in the freezer for 15 minutes
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat until hot
Fry the fillets until golden brown on both sides and cooked through

Use one egg at a time to avoid waste; break another only if needed
