3-Ingredient Vegan Salted Caramel

Ingredients

  • 2 cups full fat coconut cream
  • 2 cups coconut sugar
  • Pinch of sea salt

Optional additions

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • Vanilla to taste

Preparation

  1. In a pot on the stove, mix everything and consistently stir as it boils on medium heat for 35-45 minutes.

  2. Test the consistency by putting drops into ice cold water; once you can form a soft ball between your fingers, it is done.

  3. Optionally, add a tablespoon of coconut oil for added body and flavor, or vanilla at the end.

  4. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

  5. Avoid dipping the spoon, licking it, and putting it back to prevent contamination.
