Easy Homemade Strawberry Mousse Cake Filling
Ingredients
- 1 (395g) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (200g) carton heavy cream
- 1 small box strawberry-flavored gelatin
- 2 level tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped (measure liquid cream before whipping)
- 1 cup chopped strawberries
Preparation
Place sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, and chopped strawberries in a blender. Blend until smooth
In a saucepan, combine strawberry-flavored gelatin, unflavored gelatin powder, and water. Stir until well combined
Bring the gelatin mixture to a boil over medium heat, then pour into the blender with the strawberry mixture. Blend until combined
Let the mixture cool to room temperature
Gently fold in the whipped heavy cream
Use as a filling for cake and refrigerate until firm
