Homemade Chocolate Coconut Bars
Ingredients
- 4 cups fine shredded coconut
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 large can sweetened condensed milk
- 500 grams chocolate
Preparation
Prepare a wide tray with a metal rack or parchment paper.
In a deep bowl, mix the coconut, salt, starch, and milk until a dough forms.
Shape the dough into uniform rectangular pieces and place them on the rack to dry for a few minutes.
Melt the chocolate in a bowl over a hot water bath, stirring until smooth.
Dip each coconut piece into the melted chocolate, coat completely, remove excess by shaking gently with a fork, and place back on the rack.
Allow the chocolate to set completely before serving.
