Maizena Cookie Layered Dessert

Ingredients

  • 4 packages of Maizena cookies (traditional or chocolate flavor)
  • 2 cans of condensed milk
  • 1.5 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 1 can of cream
  • 1 package of shredded coconut
  • Milk (as needed to moisten the cookies)
  • 1 egg yolk

Preparation

  1. Place the condensed milk in a pan along with the cornstarch and egg yolk.

  2. Cook over heat, making it like porridge but keeping it a bit softer; stir well to avoid an eggy taste.

  3. Set aside.

  4. Place milk in a bowl and dip the cookies to moisten them, without leaving them too long to avoid breaking apart.

  5. Line a container with the moistened cookies placed closely together, then add a layer of the pudding, followed by another layer of cookies, and continue until the container is full.

  6. In another bowl, mix the cream and coconut, and spread it on top.

  7. Refrigerate and chill for at least 1 hour or as needed.
