Moist Coconut Cake with Orange Syrup

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 360 g sugar (approximately 2 cups)
  • 420 g flour (approximately 3 cups)
  • 1 tablespoon (or 18 g) baking powder
  • 1 (240 ml) glass of orange juice

Syrup and topping

  • 400 ml milk (or as needed)
  • 400 g condensed milk (approximately 1 1/2 cups, or one can)
  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • Shredded coconut as needed to cover the entire cake

Preparation

  1. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form, then add egg yolks one by one, beating well. Add sugar and baking powder

  2. Add flour and orange juice, alternating between the two, and mix with a spatula

  3. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes

  4. Remove the cake from the oven, pour the syrup over it, and cover the entire surface with shredded coconut
