Soft and Delicious Vegan Doughnuts
Ingredients
- 250 grams of flour
- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon of yeast
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 50 grams of melted butter
- 120 ml water
- Sunflower oil for frying
Preparation
In a bowl add the water, vanilla extract and yeast and let it rest for 5 minutes.
In a bowl with a dough hook add the flour then the yeast mixture. If the mixture appears dry add a touch of water, if too wet add a touch of flour. Combine for 5 minutes then let the dough rest for 1 hour.
On a floured bench roll out the dough around 1.5cm thick then use a glass to cut out the shape of a doughnut. I used a shot glass to make the doughnut hole. Let the dough rise for another hour. Fry the doughnuts then add your favourite toppings.
