Creamy Pea Hummus Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked chickpeas (about 250g or one 14-oz can, drained)
  • 1 cup cooked green peas (170g)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup water (60g), plus more as needed
  • 3 tablespoons tahini (45g)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
  • Spices or herbs of your choice, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (42g)

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients except olive oil in a food processor.

  2. Begin blending while streaming in the olive oil.

  3. If the mixture is too dry, add more water as needed, about 1 tablespoon at a time.

  4. Blend until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

  5. Taste and adjust the seasonings if needed, then serve immediately.
