Easy Peach PavΓͺ with Custard Layers

Ingredients

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 can milk (use condensed milk can as measure)
  • 1 can peaches in syrup (reserve 1 peach for decoration)
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 can heavy cream (with liquid)
  • 1 package champagne biscuits or maizena biscuits
  • 50 grams fresh shredded coconut
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Blend sweetened condensed milk, milk, egg yolks, and cornstarch in a blender for 5 minutes

  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture pulls away from the bottom of the pan and no lumps form

  3. Remove from heat and let cool

  4. Add heavy cream, mixing well

Assembly

  1. Strain the peaches, reserving the syrup for soaking biscuits, and cut the peaches into small pieces

  2. In a rectangular glass dish, spread a layer of cream

  3. Moisten the biscuits in the reserved peach syrup and arrange a layer over the cream

  4. Spread another layer of cream

  5. Top with a layer of peaches

  6. Repeat the layering (cream, soaked biscuits, cream, peaches) as needed, reserving enough cream for the final top layer

  7. Spread the reserved cream over the top to cover

  8. Sprinkle with shredded coconut

  9. Decorate with peach or plum slices
