Bean Stew and It Worked Out Amazingly

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 and 1/2 or 3 tins of beans (I used chickpea and kidney)
  • 600g chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Worcester sauce
  • 1 heaped tsp peanut butter
  • 1 chunk of dark chocolate
  • Black pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Add the onion to a pan and cook for a few minutes

  2. Add the garlic, herbs and spices. Stir in and leave to cook for a minute

  3. Drain and rinse the beans and add to the pan along with all the remaining ingredients. Add a few tbsp of water and mix in

  4. Leave to simmer on a low to medium heat for 20 minutes or until the sauce thickens up
