Seasoned Black Beans with Spices and Herbs

Ingredients

  • 2 cans black beans
  • 1 cup veggie broth
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp adobo seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp dry oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a saucepan and cook to heat through for about 8 minutes.

  2. With the back of your cooking spoon, mash some of the beans to thicken into a saucy mixture.

  3. Optionally, for added flavor, sauté with fresh aromatics like minced garlic before cooking.
