Arabic Style Pistachio Halva

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pistachio
  • 2.5 cups milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1 cup tahini

Preparation

  1. Prepare a deep dish, place a piece of nylon paper in it, wipe it with a light layer of oil, then sprinkle some pistachio, and set aside.

  2. In a food processor, place the milk, sugar, vanilla, and cardamom, mix until blended, then add tahini while running until a cohesive mixture forms.

  3. Place the halva mixture over the pistachio in the dish and press well to stick. Add more pistachio on top, press well. Cover with nylon and put in the fridge for several hours to set.

  4. Remove from the dish, cut as desired, and serve.
