Delicious Low Sugar Heart Shaped Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup oat milk (plus a little extra if mix feels too dry)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips of your choice

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 170C

  2. Put all the dry ingredients in a large bowl

  3. Add the olive oil, oat milk and vanilla and combine well to form a dough. It should come together, be pliable and not sticky. If it feels really dry, add a tiny bit more milk.

  4. Take a sheet of baking paper and roll out the dough to about 1cm thickness.

  5. Using a cookie cutter of your choice, bake for 13-15 minutes until just golden.

  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely.

  7. Melt your chocolate. Do this in 30 second intervals in the microwave, mixing in between. 1 to 1/2 minutes is usually enough.

  8. Dip or drizzle the chocolate on top and set in the fridge.

  9. Enjoy!
