Healthy Protein-Rich Morning Bowl

Ingredients

  • a couple of plums
  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 100ml almond milk
  • 1 cup water
  • ground cinnamon
  • coconut sugar
  • vanilla extract
  • cherry jam
  • flaked almonds
  • cherry bakewell almond butter
  • dark chocolate buttons

Preparation

  1. Roast a couple of plums (halved and de-stoned) in the oven for 20 minutes at 170°C; adjust time based on your oven.

  2. While the plums are cooking, soak 1/3 cup of oats in 100ml almond milk for about 10 minutes.

  3. Once the milk is absorbed, add a further cup of water and cook the oats slowly on low heat.

  4. When the oats are done, stir in ground cinnamon, a little coconut sugar, and a dash of vanilla extract.

  5. Top the oats with the roasted plums, cherry jam, flaked almonds, and oodles of cherry bakewell almond butter.

  6. Add a few dark chocolate buttons if desired.
