Homemade Vegan Spelt Pizza Crust
Ingredients
- 700g spelt flour
- 7g sachet dried yeast
- 2 tsp coconut sugar
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 325ml lukewarm water
Preparation
Prepare crust by adding spelt flour to a large bowl.
In a small jug, mix yeast, sugar, oil and water and allow to sit for a minute.
Add to the flour and knead for 10 minutes until springy.
Set aside, covered with a damp tea towel to rise for 1 hour, until doubled in size.
On a floured work surface, roll or stretch out half the pizza dough.
Brush with a little oil to season the top of the dough.
Add your favorite toppings and bake for 20 minutes at 220°C.
Freeze the remaining dough if not using.
