Malaysian Fern Shoot and Clam Salad

Ingredients

  • 250g bean sprouts
  • 500g clam meat
  • Blanched fern shoots
  • A little pounded shrimp paste
  • 2 pounded red chilies
  • 10 pounded bird's eye chilies
  • 2 limes
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar to taste
  • 1 large sliced onion
  • 2 tablespoons toasted coconut

Preparation

  1. Mix the bean sprouts, clam meat, toasted coconut, sliced onion, pounded shrimp paste, pounded red chilies, and pounded bird's eye chilies in a bowl until well combined.

  2. Squeeze the juice from the limes and season with salt and sugar to taste, then mix thoroughly.

  3. The dish is ready to serve.
