Crispy Salmon Bowls with Broccoli and Rice
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 garlic clove minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 head of broccoli
- 1.5 cups uncooked rice
- 2 cups broth or water
- Avocado oil for cooking
- Green onions for garnish
Preparation
Cook rice according to package instructions.
Cut salmon into cubes and remove skin first.
Add salmon to a bowl with soy sauce, sesame oil, maple syrup, chili flakes, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Let marinate for 10 minutes in the fridge or longer.
Heat a large skillet with avocado oil.
Add salmon pieces and cook for 3 minutes per side.
Spread them apart for optimal crispiness.
Cook broccoli until charred.
Assemble the bowls.
Garnish with green onion.
For extra flavor, serve with spicy mayo.
